Today was my last official day in Santa Fe, and I had a good/stressful time. After breakfast, we headed over to a woman's house to cook food. I was excited for this because I love to cook and bake things, and I have a fair amount of experience doing it. I was also excited because I did not know how to make tamales or biscochitos, and I like both of these foods very much, and it was great to learn how to make them. The woman was very kind and generous to let us into her house and take time out of her day to deal with us and teach us how to make these things. After we made tamales, green chile, red chile, and biscochitos, we ate them and then headed back to the VBRO. Later, I headed downtown with my friend and we listen to live music in the Plaza. It was very nice. We ran to the restaurant to meet up with the group at a restaurant in the rain a couple of hours later, and ate dinner. After dinner we all headed over to get Salsa and Bachatta dancing lessons. I enjoyed this somewhat because I have done this type of dancing before, however, my anxiety went into overdrive because I do not prefer to make contact with people that I am not comfortable with. Overall it was a nice experience, but I can't lie when I say I am glad it is over. I liked my last day here, but look forward to heading home tomorrow.
