It is the second day of this Osprey Week and I am beginning to fear that throughout this week I will be half sleep deprived. In the Taos Community Center, a few boys (who will remain anonymous for the sake of this blog page), would not stop talking. However, today was very interesting and enjoyable because our group visited Chimayo, New Mexico. It was very beautiful there. We got to enter the main Church and the smaller Chapel. Both places were very intimate because there were so many pictures of people passed away on the walls. The places were also very cultural. Our tour guide for Chimayo told us the history of Chimayo, how the church was built and the history of the wooden carving of Jesus. Later in the day, we drove to Santa Fe and arrived in the afternoon. We were able to explore the plaza and I bought a necklace at one of the stands along the sidewalk. All of the jewelry made by the Native Americans was very beautiful. After dinner I went to bed, and thus ends the second day of this Osprey Week.
